Abstract:   Details avian influenza surveillance efforts in Africa. Organized into three sections: satellite tracking, surveillance program, and monitoring program. Satellite tracking follows four duck species in Mali, Malawi and Nigeria. Epidemiological surveillance program tracked wild bird migration in 2006 and 2007 for signs of H5N1 virus (2006 Campaign Mission Reports available for download as .pdfs).
